Our Victim Assistance Court Program assists victims of domestic violence who seek to file or renew 50B Domestic Violence Protective Orders (DVPOs) or 50C No-Contact Orders because they've been recently assaulted, threatened, and/or stalked. Victim Assistance Court Program advocates also provide a number of additional services, including:
DVPOs are essential components of many victims' safety plans and can greatly impact a victim's ability to live independently from an abuser. DVPOs can determine temporary child custody arrangements as well as a range of financial outcomes, such as right to live in a shared home and retain possession of a vehicle. Without effective advocacy and legal representation, the lack of a court order can leave a victim destitute.
Walk-ins are welcome, but we ask that clients arrive by 3 p.m. to ensure same-day completion/filing of paperwork with the court.
Safe Alliance offers services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault regardless of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, and physical or mental disability. In an emergency please dial 911
