October is Over but the Awareness Continues
It's time to break the silence on the growing epidemic of domestic and sexual violence.  1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Above, we have launched our "Share Your Story" campaign, an online video campaign in efforts to raise awareness to the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault. Throughout the month of October we will feature videos from 11 survivors sharing their personal testimonies. We hope that you will follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter using the hashtag #WhyImWorthMore and help spread the videos to your friends, family, and peers.

What Can You Do?
Want to help raise awareness and funds, but aren't sure where to start? Here's a list of how you can help.
  • Share videos from our Share Your Story campaign on social media
  • Make a financial donation to help provide critical crisis services for survivors in our community
  • Wear purple, the awareness color for domestic violence
  • Attend an upcoming Safe Alliance fundraiser such as Fighting for Women with Fashion or the Annual Partners Luncheon
  • Make an in-kind donation to one of our programs using the "Needs List"
  • Volunteer to serve lunch at the Clyde and Ethel Dickson Domestic Violence Shelter
  • Attend an upcoming third party event that supports Safe Alliance such as, the Jennifer Roberts Volleyball Festival, We Run 4 Her, or Night Fights
